Highlights from the symposium, Effects of Intellectual Property Protections on the Conduct of Scientific Research: Results of a Survey of U.S. AAAS Members, January 16, 2007

On Tuesday, January 16, SIPPI hosted a public symposium on intellectual property protections and the conduct of research in the U.S. scientific community. The event was held in the Auditorium of the AAAS headquarters in Washington, DC, from 8:30 AM to 2:45 PM.

Speakers addressed several findings from a forthcoming report based on an extensive survey of U.S. scientists' experiences with intellectual property protections, conducted in 2006 by the AAAS-SIPPI Project, with support from the Sasakawa Peace Foundation.
