Patent Policy: Using, Abusing and Reforming

The Innovation Center at Duke University is
sponsoring its inaugural conference, Patent Policy: Using, Abusing and Reforming. It will be held on September 18-19, 2004 at the R. David Thomas Center, next to the Fuqua School of Business.

This conference brings together leading scholars from law and economics to evaluate the current patent system and to explore opportunities for reform. A highlight of the conference is a summary presentation by the authors of the recently-released National Academies of Sciences Report, "A Patent System for the 21st Century."
