Brian Opeskin of the Australian Law Reform Commission (ALRC) will discuss important findings and recommendations from the ALRC's new report, "Genes and Ingenuity: Gene Patenting and Human Health." The report, released in August, is a comprehensive examination of the effect of the patent system on genetic research, its commercialization, and the provision of healthcare.
